Quite unexpectedly, Samsung has just announced the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 ahead of the Mobile World Congress 2013. Design-wise, the Galaxy Note 8.0 I would say, is just a gigantic version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 with an additional S Pen. Although Samsung has yet to announce it’s pricing, but many expect it to cost less than $400 to make it an affordable tablet for most.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy Note 8.0 will be available during the 2nd quarter in the following countries : Europe, Korea, North America, S.E. Asia, S. W. Africa, the Middle East, China, Taiwan, and Latin America. Below is a quick summary for the specifications of the Galaxy Note 8.0 :
- 8-inch display at a resolution of 1200 x 800
- 189 ppi
- 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos CPU
- 2GB of RAM
- 5MP rear camera
- 1.3MP front camera
- 4,600 mAh battery
- Either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage
- Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
In case you didn’t realize, the Galaxy Note 8.0 will be running on the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean instead of Android 4.2 – though sources believe Samsung will roll out Android 4.2 update for the phablet at a later date. That’s all we have for the Galaxy Note 8.0 for now, so stay with us for more updates after the Mobile World Congress 2013!
